The following are Regular updates from the action at Fancourt:
Sudden Death Playoff.
19.30: It is getting extremely dark now and after much deliberation between Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, both teams and a number of match officials it is decided that the Presidents Cup will be shared.
The players could no longer read the grain on the greens and thus the 2003 Presidents Cup will be shared between The Internationals and The USA. After the great display of golf that we have seen over the past four days, it seems as though it is the most unbiased result.
19.20: Tiger sinks a superb par putt, whilst Ernie holds his nerve to do the same.
19.10: Els plays first and puts his tee shot at the back right of the green. It has left the South African with a monstrous effort to two putt for par.
Woods comes up short. He is on the green but has left himself with a long putt up the hill.
19.00: Ernie puts his approach shot over the back of the green and a poor chip has left him with much work to do to save par. A great left to right putt from Ernie for his par and after Tiger sinks his short par putt, the playoff moves to the par three second.
18.55: Tiger and Ernie both using irons off the tee, find the fairway again. It will take a birdie to win it.
18.50: Both Tiger and Ernie make par and the playoff continues. Play with move over to the par four first hole.
Davis Love III must be thinking "what if" right now.
18.42: Tiger has done the opposite to Ernie, by pulling the ball left of the green. It still is not clear who has the better lie. Tiger is much closer to the pin but has very little green to work with.
18.40: Ernie has pushed his second shot but the gallery may have done him a favour alongside the green. The ball landed in amongst the seated spectators which may have prevented the ball from going into any further trouble.
18.35: Both Tiger and Ernie have found the fairway on the eighteenth. Tiger swung really hard and has gone 20 metres past Ernie.
18.20: This is nothing short of unbelievable. Davis Love has totally 'duffed' his chip on the eighteenth. Love misses his par putt and concedes the hole to Allenby. The match ends All Square and the teams are level on 17 points each.
It is going to be a sudden death playoff.
18.10: After two great drives, Allenby has put his second over the back of the green at the par five eighteenth, whilst Love has come up slightly short. It is going to require something special from Allenby to save The Internationals from here.
18.00: Who would have thought that after four days of team competition, it would come down to the last hole of the last match. Both Allenby and Love miss putts for birdie at the seventeenth and Love remains 1 up with one to play.
17.50: Allenby has 'fluffed' his attempted recovery shot and Love wins the hole with a par to go 1 up with two holes to play.
17.45: It looks more like a game of "pick up sticks" than golf on the sixteenth! Allenby has pulled his second to the par five and has found himself under some dense brush. He is carefully trying to remove loose grass and twigs from around his ball. If the ball moves at any stage whilst he is doing so, he will incur a two stroke penalty.
17.30: A par at the last is enough for Chris DiMarco to win 1 up over Stuart Appleby. He is immediately congratulated by the rest of the American team.
There is only one match left out on the course.
Robert Allenby has won the fifteenth to bring the match back to All Square against Davis Love III. At 16 1/2 points each, one can still not count out the possibility of a sudden death playoff.
17.20: Woods wins the fifteenth to close out Els 4 and 3. Els really did seem out of sorts today.
DiMarco makes a crucial birdie at the seventeenth and pumps the air with his fist. Jack Nicklaus is delighted as he whispers some encouragement into DiMarco's ear. I'm sure some advice as well.
17.00: Vijay Singh has given the South African public a glimpse of his true class in beating David Toms 4 and 3. The Internationals are ahead by two, but it looks as though Els is about to beaten by Woods.
16.55: It's all level once again. Peter Lonard, the well-built Australian, has beaten Fred Funk 4 and 3.
'The Goose' has halved the seventeenth to win his match 2 and 1 against Phil Mickelson. The Internationals are back out in front.
16.45: Nick Price has just underlined how badly each team wants to win. He missed a six foot putt on the final green and subsequently broke his putter over his knee out of sheer frustration. That missed putt handed Jerry Kelly a 1 up victory and has put the USA in the overall lead.
Retief Goosen has won the sixteenth much to the delight of the home crowd. No guesses as to who they are supporting. This is fantastic golf. I almost feel more nervous than the players themselves.
16.30: It could literally not be any closer. The USA have dominated the singles matches on Sunday and have eradicated the three point deficit at the start of the day, by winning four of the first five matches and draw level at 13 1/2 points apiece.
Jerry Kelly held his nerve to sink a four-foot putt on the final green to win 1 up over South Africa's Tim Clark.
Jay Haas played a superb back nine to win his match over Stephan Leaney 4 and 3. The delight on Jack Nicklaus's face is becoming all the more apparent as the afternoon wears on.
16.15: KJ Choi has brought a much needed point to the Internationals. He won the sixteenth hole to close out Justin Leonard 4 and 2. That leaves the Rest Of The World with four more matches to win in order to secure the Presidents Cup.
16.05: It's another win for The USA. Charles Howell III absolutely dominated Adam Scott to win 5 and 4. USA are now only a point behind the Internationals.
15.40: The first point of the day has gone to the Americans. Jim Furyk has won the par three seventeenth and with it, his match against Mike Weir. First blood to USA.
15.00: The Scott v Howell match has gone through the ninth. Scott made birdie to win the hole and is 4 down at the turn.
Ernie missed his birdie putt at the fifth and Tiger made no mistake. Woods moves to 1 up.
Retief Goosen and Phil Mickelson are enjoying a great tussle. Their match is All Square through eight holes.
In other matches: KJ Choi remains 4 up over Justin Leonard. Kenny Perry won the tenth to move 1 up against Nick Price. Davis Love and Robert Allenby are All Square after five holes.
14.30: Els manages to save par at the third, which is just enough to halve the hole. Tiger missed a birdie putt that he would normally make with his eyes closed. Woods and Els are All Square in their match after the American won the second.
Tim Clark has gone through the turn 1 up in his match against Jerry Kelly.
Birdies at the seventh and eighth for KJ Choi have moved him to 3 up over Justin Leonard.
Australia's Robert Allenby has won the second hole against Davis Love III to go 1 up in the final singles match of the day.
14.00: All of the single's matches are now underway at The Links.
It has got worse for Adam Scott. He is now 4 down through five holes in his match against Charles Howell.
Tiger Woods found the fairway bunker on the first. A Par for Ernie was good enough to win the hole. Els 1 up through one.
The first match has gone through the turn. Jim Furyk remains 1 up over Mike Weir.
It's very evenly poised at the moment.
13.30: In the battle of the "youngsters," Adam Scott is battling against Charles Howell. Howell is three up through three holes and swinging superbly.
NIck Price's par at the fifth was not goood enough to prevent Kenny Perry from winning the hole. Price is now 2 down.
Mike Weir brings some relief to the Internationals. His birdie at the sixth wins the hole and the Canadian is now only 1 down to Jim Furyk.
13.00: KJ Choi has come out all-guns blazing in his match against Justin Leonard, winning the first two holes.
Both the Kelly v Clark and the Perry v Price matches are All Square through three holes.
There definitely seems a greater sense of urgency amongst the players today. For the first time this weekend they are playing an individual format. It will be interesting to see who can take the early iniative.
12.30: After halving the first, Jim Furyk has won the second hole of his match against Mike Weir. That's the start that the USA needed.
A birdie at the first for Tim Clark has the Internationals 1 up in the secong singles match of the final day. Clark is up against Jerry Kelly, who will want to put yesterdays massive defeat to KJ Choi and Adam Scott behind him.
