The Qualifiers

1. Ernie Els

"Being the number one qualifier and always a reliable player, Ernie will be the backbone of the International Team. I would love to see him and Tiger go head-to-head on Sunday."

2. Vijay Singh

"Vijay plays consistently well everywhere and thrives on competition. You can count on a great performance from him."

3. Mike Weir

"'Gritty Mike.' He has shown us this year, especially at the Masters, that he has a lot to offer our team. You've got to love a guy who wears all black."

4. Nick Price

"Nick has made it clear that his goal was to make the Presidents Cup team, and he did. That's a sign of true dedication. His experience will be a great asset."

5. Retief Goosen

"A U.S. Open champion who loves links golf, Retief will undoubtedly be a solid contributor. Don't let his calm demeanor fool you; he is a fierce competitor."

6. Robert Allenby

"A good bloke from down under! His consistency this year has proved he will be both a reliable teammate and individual starter."

7. Stephen Leaney

"Stephen made the team with an incredible runner-up finish at the US Open. I think he wants to show that this was not just a flash in the pan and will bring heart to all the matches."

8. Peter Lonard

"Strong and built like a rugby player, I like his toughness and know that he won't be intimidated."

9. Adam Scott

"Adam Scott's recent winning performance at the Scandinavian Open was evidence of a player coming onto form at just the right time. This young man has a very bright future and will be a strong member of the team."

10. Stuart Appleby

"Stuart is a tough competitor who has withstood tremendous adversity, and I am certain will be a key player in the Presidents Cup as well as add to team spirit."

The Wild Cards

11. K.J. Choi

"He has been winning over the last two years and is a strong solid player. He has fared very well in the U.S. and will not back down from his competitors."

12. Tim Clark

"His performance at the PGA Championship was absolutely magnificent. The other players on the team are delighted to have Tim on board."
